Interactive Media Design
This is it! I have been preparing for more responsibility and I must achieve my goals. I have changed the design of my Portfolio Website a multiple of times. I like to design for myself and creating for sole purpose allows me to create freely. I also like to design sites for a certain type of businesses. I have prototyped websites, documentation, logos, business cards, and ads for an array of different types of business. Resteraunts, Skate Shops, Motorsports, News, Clothing Stores, Night Clubs, Glasses, and Sunglasses are just some projects that I have completed. I like to be versatile, and I honestly believe no-one can stay the same forever.Writing for The Web
When I develop or design a project I am following well taught guidelines and disciplines provided by my teacher's at AIP. After a goal is breached, I explore and study demographics thouroughly until I have reached 3-5 target audiences. Once I have an idea of who I am writing/ designing/ developing for, I write "fancies" ,or what some may call "pitches" until I have a clear focus on the task at hand, and what is involved with each step. Every student must be organized,but an Interactive Media Student must be maticulous and keen to micro-management. So, it is time to buckle down, be specific, orient detail, work harder, and never stop!
I like to be original and I take my artwork serious, with a hue of sarcasm of course. For me, the best remedy for a creativity block is to look at ideas and things with sarcasm. Problem solving is always helpful but to start a masterpiece one must brainstorm. I start every project by creating Thumbnails, whether it be a logo or website. Documentation is also necessary to find and organize Target Audiences, Themes, Moods, Objectives, Files, and Goals. The best paintings' in the world are not painted on an empty canvas. Unless of course, you are Jackson Pollack. Enjoy what I consider my favorite part of my job. It is an honor that I am allowed to create art for my great clients.
Eventually Twitter and other networking websites will disappear. Until then, utilize all the free broadband and apps while you can. Flickr is a SEO best friend and having an active blog never looks bad. My education at The Art Insitute of Pittsburgh has shown me the work ethic needed to be a professional Web Developer. Setting up websites are a lot of work and I follow the same process as I do if it were artwork. Organization is crucial for creating web pages. What a lot of people don't think about when looking at the site is the grammar and content for each page. Writing creatively for an audience takes as much preparation and brainstorming as everything else. Rich, Juicy, and Lean is what every Web Developer/ Writer strives for when pre-writing goals and audiences.
